The DredSkye Story

Welcome to DredSkye FPV. I'm Jamie Anne Harrell, FAA Part 107 Certified and EU EASA Registered drone pilot, with a background in hardware and software engineering and a love of cinematic FPV. The first time I flew FPV I was hooked, and as soon as I needed more than bind-and-fly quads could offer, DredSkye was born.

Many small CineWhoops today are designed as "generalist" quads, built to appeal to the broadest possible audience. The problem is that broad appeal requires trade-offs, and those trade-offs add up: excess TPU adding unnecessary weight, motors chosen for cost over performance, antenna placement that's clearly never been tested in the field, and tunes that ship half-baked or not at all.

I needed a sub-250g CineWhoop for a specific job: Part 107 operations over people at festivals, concerts, and live performances. Nothing available did it well, so the DredCine 20 came to life in 2024. This spring I'm adding the DredCine 25, sharing nearly the same frame design so all your accessories and mounts carry over, just with longer arms for 2.5" props. All STLs for mounts, guards, and accessories are available free on Thingiverse.
